Marian Rogers has a BA in classics from Colby College and holds a PhD in classical philology from Brown University. She also studied at Christian-Albrechts-Universität in Kiel, Germany. Her academic career spans a decade and includes teaching and publications in the field of classics.
Marian began her editorial career in the 1980s in educational publishing, working in-house as a copyeditor and editor at a major textbook publisher in the New York metropolitan area. In 1985 she founded BiblioGenesis to edit and write textbooks and other materials for the K-12 market on a freelance basis.
In 1987 BiblioGenesis expanded to offer freelance editorial services to scholarly authors and publishers. Since then, Marian has edited hundreds of books and articles by scholars at colleges and universities in the United States and Europe whose work has been published by some of the world’s most highly respected university presses, academic publishers, and scholarly journals.
While Marian continues to offer consulting in educational publishing in the areas of grammar, writing, reading, literature, Greek and Latin word origins, and instruction for ESL and struggling readers and writers, the main focus of BiblioGenesis today is to help academic authors prepare their work for publication.
